| The Credit Counseling Program provides, free of charge, counseling to individuals who are having credit problems. Our organization works with applicants to remedy and prevent future credit problems, develop a household budget and set a time frame in which the results would be achieved. Regular meetings are scheduled to ensure all steps are being followed and progress is being made to move you towards home ownership. |

Taking a closer look at your money...
Home Buyers:
- You must have a budget. We are not the Trumps.
Therefore, we must spend like the Smiths. - Buy what you need, not what you want.
- Have a yard sale. Get a return on your investment by
selling items you have made or no longer need. - You should never have more than 2 major credit cards.
- Plan your spending. Avoid frequent use of ATM/Debit
cards.
Homeowners:
- Never do business with lenders who initiate contact with
you. - Your home is your greatest investment. Get a home
inspection at least every 15 years. - Shop around before refinancing. Go online to www.
bankrate.com. - The equity in your home is like an emergency savings,
use it sparingly, and pay it back. - For mortgage delinquency, go online to www.hemap.org.
